Best of the Best – Penfolds picks up esteemed Robb Report win

25 June, 2020

South Australian winery Penfolds continues to shine on the world stage and has a new accolade to show its wine is truly the Best of the Best.

Penfolds was awarded for its shiraz, the 2015 Grange, in the 32nd Best of the Best Awards by Robb Report. The taste has been described as the fruits of a Christmas pudding, complemented with notes of ironstone, graphite, iodine, black ink, and a black pudding viscosity.

The Robb Report is a guide for the finest products across the globe.

Wine is one of the 14 categories in the Robb Report’s list of Best of the Best awards: Art, Automotive, Aviation, Cigars, Culinary, Design, Gear, Jewellery, Marine, Spirits, Style, Travel, Watches, and Wine.

The wine was made by Adelaide’s Great Wine Capitals Global Ambassador and Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago and is a great representation for South Australia.
