Barossa Valley winery wins national award

Barossa Valley winery Turkey Flat Vineyards has collected a national accolade for its red wine.

Turkey Flat Vineyards was awarded the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for its 2016 Grenache.

It’s the first time a Grenache has been awarded the prize.

Other South Australian winners at the awards included:

Adelaide Hills’ Longview Vineyard - best single vineyard wine for the Longview Iron Knob 2017 Riesling.
Adelaide Hills’ Sidewood Estate – best sauvignon blanc for its 2017 Sauvignon Blanc
Limestone Coast’s Norfolk Rise – best single varietal white for its 2017 Pinot Grigio
Langhorne Creek’s Oddfellows – best shiraz/cabernet blend for its 2015 Shiraz/Cabernet (Eskadale Vineyards)
