Apply for $5,000 to learn from the Great Wine Capitals

An opportunity to be immersed in the Great Wine Capitals and learn from the world’s best is on offer for five lucky people.

Adelaide | South Australia: A Great Wine Capital is offering five $5,000 bursaries to support travelling to and learning from one or more Great Wine Capitals, as part of the Great Wine Capitals Knowledge Exchange Bursary.

With the aim of boosting knowledge and exchanging valuable insights across the wine industry value chain, recipients could learn about wine making, viticulture, Agtech, innovation, biosecurity practices, research and development, marketing, regional development, or any other area related to their work or study in the wine industry.

The bursary could cover:

  • attending meetings with industry experts in other Great Wine Capitals (see list below)
  • immersion experiences, visits and tours of relevant businesses or facilities
  • attending a relevant conference in a Great Wine Capital
  • any element relating to the wine industry – including, but not limited to, wine making, viticulture, Agtech, innovation, biosecurity practices or research and development.

The members of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network are San Francisco/Napa Valley (US), Bordeaux (France), Bilbao/Rioja (Spain), Lausanne (Switzerland), Mainz/Rheinhessen (Germany), Mendoza (Argentina), Porto (Portugal), Valparaìso/Casablanca Valley (Chile), and Verona (Italy).
