Celebrating cheese, wine, kombucha, gin and even chocolate, Ferment the Festival is set to showcase a huge selection of fermented food and beverages this October.

The four-day festival is set to attract more than 20 000 local and international visitors and is a progression of the decade long CheeseFest festival, directed by Premium Food and Wine Ambassador Kris Lloyd.

The State Government is proud to sponsor the festival and a number of events in the broad program, including the demonstrations in the Liquid and Food Labs and Heroes and Stories which will educate consumers on all things fermented, showcase South Australian produce and will be presented by well-known  South Australian food and wine personalities.

The Great Wine Capital of the World Pavilion will promote Adelaide / South Australia's membership to the prestigious global network.

The pavilion will feature wines by winners of the Best of Wine Tourism Awards as well as Masterclasses – A Voyage Around Your Table and Ferment the Grand Tasting.

The sessions have been curated by Paul Henry and are themed as: Brilliant Brands and Beyond - a review of exciting and innovative new styles; Regional Heroes - the classic pairing of varietal and/or stylistic signatures matched to network regions; and Great Wine Capital Landmarks - a review of our International icons and flagships.
